How Can I Make a Difference?
You are not required to complete the work, but neither are you at liberty to abstain from it. (Pirkei Avot 2:21)
It is easy to feel powerless given all that is broken in our world. But we believe that each person can and
should make a difference. Temple Israel offers a variety of ways to help you make a difference in the
lives of others, whether you have hours to give or just minutes. See below for some of the opportunities we offer.
DONATE TO TURKEY/SYRIA EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS
Our hearts go out to the families affected by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria. On February 6th, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake occurred across Turkey and Syria, which resulted in over 19,000 deaths and thousands of injuries. Please consider helping by donating to the following aid organizations:
Note that many of these organizations are helping in dozens of locations around the globe, including Ukraine. RAZOM is an organization which specifically supports relief efforts in Ukraine.
