In 2022, we were proud to have been named by Westchester Magazine as a Top 5 Westchester-Based Podcast to listen. After 8.5 years and 343 episodes, the TINW Torah Study podcast has come to an end. The same material is presented in written form in our Substack blog.
Temple Israel's Rabbi Jennifer Jaech leads our weekly Torah Study sessions. We are also fortunate to have occasional guest leaders throughout the year, as well as during the summer months. Our group is enhanced by a variety personal experiences and backgrounds - please feel free to join us and share yours!
If you would like to attend and are not already on the Torah Study list, please contact Rabbi Jennifer Jaech.
JOIN US SATURDAY MORNINGS
Join us for Torah Study every Saturday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 AM in the Temple Community Room. Sessions are typically led by Rabbi Jennifer Jaech, and sometimes led by guests, but are always thought-provoking. We explore not only the weekly Parshah, but the full range of sacred texts, liturgy, as well as ancient and modern commentary that add depth and insight to the discussion. Who wrote the words we read in the Bible, and why? What were the socio-political underpinnings when these documents were written, and how are they relevant today? There is so much to learn, and we have a great time each week uncovering nuggets that add to our experience as Jews. This is not your parent's Bible class!
