Israel Action

One of the most important things you can do to support Israel is to stay up to date on the news and make yourself aware of the issues. There are many excellent web sites that will help you stay informed and give you a more in depth understanding of what’s happening in and around Israel.

Be sure to use what you learn to contact your elected officials to advocate for Israel. Do not be silent!

Take advantage of cultural events in New York including film, concerts, dance, exhibits, theater and literature from Israel. Visit the Cultural Department of the Consulate General of Israel in New York for up-to-date information and a calendar of events.

Visit the City of Jerusalem web site.

See what you're missing at the Western Wall web site including live webcams and a virtual tour of the of the Kotel including the Western Wall Tunnels and the new Chain of Generations Center.

Learn about the Israel Nature and National Parks Protection Agency and Israel's parks including Ein Gedi, Masada, Qumran, Beit She'an, Tel Dan, and the Coral Beach Nature Reserve.

Don't miss the Virtual Reconstruction Model of the Temple Mount on The Jerusalem Archaeological Park web site. Better yet, visit the park and the Southern Wall Excavations in person! Israel’s most important antiquity site, the park reaches the Temple Mount on the north, the slope of the Mount of Olives and the Kidron Valley on the east, and the Valley of Hinnom on the west and the south. This exceptional area which has captivated the world’s imagination throughout history, has been designated as an archaeological park and open museum. Visitors to the Park follow events spanning some 5000 years, beginning with the Canaanite (Bronze) Age and continuing through the days of the Israelite monarchy in the First Temple period. The splendors of the Second Temple and the impressive architecture of King Herod, dating to the second half of the first century BCE are a key element in the park, and the remains and monumental structures dating to the Christian and Muslim periods are clearly visible.
