May 5th, 2018 ~ Coby Rinke
Coby Rinke is a seventh grader at Briarcliff Middle School who is delighted to become a bar mitzvah this May. Coby loves to draw, explore nature, and play with his dog Rey. Becoming a bar mitzvah is important to him because he feels passionately about doing good in the world. Through the mitzvah project he had the opportunity to volunteer at the Ossining Children’s Center. He has also traveled to Israel and now feels even more connected to the Jewish people.

May 26th, 2018 ~ Jordan Epstein
Jordan is a 7th grader at Somers Middle School in Somers, New York. Jordan enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She participates in many activities at school and at Temple Israel. This year, Jordan performed in her school musical production, is a member of her school choir, a member of Selah at Temple Israel and was nominated into her middle school's first chapter of the National Junior Honor Society.
Jordan chose to participate in two Midnight Runs and one Habitat for Humanity event for her mitzvah project. Becoming a Bat Mitzvah is an important tradition she has been happy to work towards.
Jordan plans to continue being active at TINW by continuing her education at CJL and performing in Selah.
June 2nd, 2018 ~ Austin “AJ” Caparelli
Austin Caparelli, A.J, is a 7th grader at Anne M Dorner Middle School in Ossining. He started Hebrew School at Temple Israel in 3rd grade and is excited to become a bar mitzvah. A.J. is a trumpet player in his school band and his favorite school subject is science. He is a soccer and basketball player who spends a great deal of time playing on modified, tri-county and AAU teams. He is also a fan of Star Wars, Playstation, and his dog, Ginger.
