Summary |
2020 has been a difficult year for all of us. Jewish humor has often served as a coping mechanism in times of trouble. To lighten the mood this Hanukkah, here are some new verses for "I Had a Little Dreidel" that are especially relevant to the times we are living in:
I had a little dreidel
I played with it on Zoom.
Unfortunately, the WIFI crashed
And kicked me off the room.
I had a little dreidel
To show on the livestream.
I played and ate some latkes
With extra sour cream.
My poor pandemic dreidel
It has to wear a mask
To keep us safe from all the germs
It's not too much to ask!
I bought a little dreidel
I clicked and shopped online.
Got in my car and waited
By the curbside pickup sign!
I tried to play some dreidel
With social distancing.
But it was very boring
Because we couldn't sing.
My hopeful little dreidel
Will soon be vaccinated
So next year's Jewish holidays
Can all be celebrated!
