Visit By Train:
Approximately one hour from Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan (depending on train choice), Croton-Harmon is the nearest stop to Temple Israel on both Metro North and Amtrak lines. Taxis await at the Croton-Harmon station most hours of the day and local taxis can be called if none are available at the station. (J&S Taxi 914.271.4000)

Yizkor is the memorial service recited four times a year. Yizkor, "may God remember," is the opening word of the memorial prayer to honor & remember departed loved ones & martyrs during the worship service. -

The program promotes a sense of peace and unity within our community and beyond through acts of loving kindness and social justice. Our goal is to bring joy into the lives of the elderly by creating floral arrangements which are distributed to local nursing homes and to build community among volunteers through this process. -

Led by longtime artist Marilyn Bottjer, you’ll learn the traditional American art of rug hooking. It’s easy to get started and a wonderful way to play with color and design using recycled materials like wool clothing or even old sweaters.
