An Interfaith Discussion about Anti Semitism Led by Ed Ginsberg

4:00 PM - 6:00 PMEd Ginsberg will lead a workshop on antisemitism for the Temple Israel and broader interfaith communities. Join our neighbors from the Our Savior Lutheran Church, Asbury United Method Church, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Hudson Valley, and the St. Augustine Episcopal churches for an interfaith discussion on the nature of anti-semitism and what we can do as a community to combat it. A light supper will be served.
About the Speaker
Ed Ginsberg has been teaching and developing curriculum about the holocaust and human rights since the 1960’s. He was one of the first teachers in New York to integrate holocaust studies as part of his high school’s curriculum. From 1979-1981 he served as Director of Human Rights Education for New York and has presented at national, state and local conferences. His teaching career has spanned 55 years at Arlington High School, Syracuse University, SUNY Westchester, SUNY Dutchess, The Scarsdale Adult School, and Marist College. In 2023, he made presentations to the faculty and students at colleges and schools, churches, synagogues, and adult education programs.

Volunteers needed. The Midnight Run is a volunteer organization whose goal is to come together as a community in order to feed the homeless of New York City. They coordinate more than 1,000 relief missions per year with volunteers from churches, synagogues, schools and other civic groups to deliver food, clothing, blankets and personal care items to the homeless poor on the streets of New York City. -
