This stylish mystery is the first Alfred Hitchcock movie to make it into our Brotherhood-Sisterhood Movie Night – and it is widely regarded as one of his best!  It stars James Stewart and Grace Kelly at the very height of their careers in a film that perfectly mixes suspense and humor.  Stewart is a globetrotting photographer who sustained a broken leg covering a war overseas and is now restricted to sitting in his NY apartment looking out his window.  Grace Kelly is his beautiful fashion-field girlfriend eager for him to settle down and marry.  Looking out his rear window, Stewart sees many stories of the city – but is one of them murder? Stewart and Kelly are joined by a stellar cast  of supporting actors including the great Raymond Burr playing a role far from his most famous  one – Perry Mason. Also enlivening the cast: the wonderful Ms. Thelma Ritter as Stewart’s nurse and the always reliable Mr. Wendell Corey as Stewart’s police detective pal. Nobody combines thrills, chills,  glamor, and fun like the great Hitchcock. Toss in the Stewart-Kelly onscreen charisma and “Rear Window” is not to be missed!
