At Temple Israel we believe that our children's attendance at religious school for their formal religious education is incredibly important to their development as Jews. In addition, providing "informal" Jewish social and educational experiences go hand in hand with their formal education. Participation in age-appropriate youth programming will augment the home and school environment to build Jewish identity, positive esteem, help form friendships within the Temple community and provide safe, social and Jewish activities that include social action projects, service to community and/or Temple, observance of holidays as well as social activities and events.
The foundation for the comprehensive youth program is age appropriate youth groups. We currently have Temple Israel of Northern Westchester Junior Youth Group for grades 7 and 8 and TIPSY (Temple Israel Program for Senior Youth) for grades 9 - 12.
